Why remediate?

Salmonella, a pathogenic microorganism that is the source of many food outbreaks, is frequently found on nuts and seeds. FDA Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA) changed the food safety system by focusing on prevention rather than a response to an outbreak. Since then, to ensure consumer safety, raw product must be treated before entering the retail market.
