Basic Microbiology

In this section we are going to discuss basic microbiology and testing. The purpose of this chapter is to provide you a basic understanding of yeast, mold, spores, and bacteria. We'll discuss Total Yeast and Mold Counts, and the different methods how microbial pathogens are tested and counted.
Getting to Know Your APEX

We'll take a tour of the APEX’s exterior and interior and prepare you for turning on the unit. We'll introduce you to safety features, and how to navigate the APEX through the HMI. Basic maintenance, troubleshooting and service intervals are also covered.
Preparing the Workspace

In this section we're going to discuss how to prepare your product for treatment. Preparing your workspace properly will lead to greater efficiency and higher throughput. A clean, well-organized workspace also helps avoid cross contamination after your product has been treated in the APEX system.
Operating the APEX

In this section we'll go over how to use the machine in detail. We'll start by logging in to the machine, then selecting a recipe, go over loading of the product, probe placement, running a treatment, and post-process equalization.

Post-Treatment
